Hundreds of fascinating lists cover the past and present and feature everything from the park's famous attractions, shops, restaurants, parades, and live shows to the creative artists, designers, characters, and performers who have made Disneyland(R) the world's most beloved theme park.
Inside the pages of this fun- and fact-filled book you will find:
- 13 of Walt Disney's Disneyland(R) Favorites
- 33 Remaining Signs and Structures from Disneyland(R)'s Past
- 13 Heart-Thumping Moments in Disneyland(R)'s Attractions
- 46 Disneyland(R) Parades
- 18 Secrets in the Haunted Mansion
- 30 Jokes from the Jungle Cruise
- 26 Special Events at Disneyland You May Not Have Heard Of
- 15 Urban Legends
- 80 Celebrity Visitors Between 1955 and the 1980s
- 19 Disneyland(R) Attractions with the Longest Names
- 11 Movies Based on Disneyland(R) Attractions
- A Dozen World Records Set at Disneyland(R)
In addition to lists created by author Chris Strodder (The Disneyland(R) Encyclopedia), the book will include lists from celebrities, Disneyland(R) experts and historians, Disneyland(R) Imagineers and designers, and other current and former Disneyland(R) employees.
People have been making lists since Biblical times (think Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, compiled 2,100 years ago), and to this

Review Quotes

Mill Valley author and die-hard Disneyphile Chris Strodder has just published a sequel to his Disneyland Encyclopedia and it's a book tailor-made for mouse fans of all ages, especially those of us who remember E tickets. . . . With nearly 250 lists spread over 360 pages, it's guaranteed to quiet the back seat crowd on the long drive to Anaheim.--San Jose Mercury News
"This volume of lists promises "a new way to explore over 60 years of Disneyland history"--and it delivers on that promise. If this subject interests you and you take the bait, you will not be disappointed. Strodder clearly loves Disneyland and popular culture. His 247 lists about Disneyland are original and often witty.--Werner Weiss, Yesterland
"The Disneyland Book of Lists is a fantastically fun, incredibly dense collection of Disneyland trivia!"--Boing Boing
I'm a sucker for interesting tidbits, trivia and historical facts, especially when compiled in list form. Within minutes of opening The Disneyland Book of Lists by Chris Strodder, I was hooked. -- Coaster101.com
As an infrequent visitor to Anaheim's main attraction, I am surprised that I was as enchanted by Strodder's book as my insider friend. For me, it is a delightful peek into the world Walt Disney created and the company that keeps it evolving. For my friend, it adds depth and detail to a subject he knows well. 'I'd give it five stars out of five, ' Manny said. I would, too."--RoadTripAmerica.com
"If you're a fan of theme parks, Disneyland or just really good writing, then this book is for you. Chris manages to entertain while offering an unparalleled look at Disneyland. You will never look at the park the same way again."--George Taylor, Imaginerding
"Chris Strodder, the author of The Disneyland Encyclopedia, has come up with a unique, thoroughly enjoyable follow-up called The Disneyland Book of Lists . As the subtitle says, it's unofficial, unauthorized and unprecedented, with unprecedented being the key word. It's the type book you don't necessarily have to read from cover to cover to enjoy. You can pick it up, open up to any page, and find compelling, interesting and even educational information about the Happiest Place on Earth, which celebrates its 60th anniversary on July 17." --Chuck Schmidt, Goofy About Disney
This book is so stuffed with information that it is very likely even the most hardcore Disney fan will learn something new. Those fans will definitely enjoy the lists that dig deep into Disneyland's history (Rolly Crump's 5 Toughest Assignments and Bob Gurr's 10 Most Memorable Events at Disneyland). While this book would be an enjoyable read for any Disney fan--particularly those who have made the trip to Anaheim once or twice or those who are are planning a trip--the true target audience for the majority of this book is the frequent visitor to the California park. The list format makes this book an easy read--or more so a book to pick up and browse through--and a perfect pick me up when you're suffering from Disney withdrawals."--The Disney World Dads
It really is amazing to think that anyone can even come up with 250 lists about our beloved theme park, but Strodder does. . . . I found the lists overwhelmingly accessible and intriguing. Honestly, who doesn't want to know the 16 Splendid Disneyland Restrooms, the approximate speed of 15 Disneyland attractions and 13 Disneyland-Related Sentences and Phrases That Are 13 Words Long."--Live Fast Die Poor

About the Author

Chris Strodder is the author of The Disneyland(R) Encyclopedia, which was named a "Best Reference Book" by Library Journal. His other works include the pop culture compendiums The Encyclopedia of Sixties Cool and Swingin' Chicks of the '60s.
