<p/><br></br><p><b> Book Synopsis </b></p></br></br><em>Faulkner and Hurston </em>is a collection of literary criticism from the 2014 Faulkner/Hurston Conference at Southeast Missouri State University. <em>Faulkner and Hurston</em> is Volume Five in Southeast's Faulkner Conference Series.<p/><br></br><p><b> About the Author </b></p></br></br><b>Andrew Leiter</b> earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Alabama, and he completed his graduate work at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is the author of essays on Erskine Caldwell and Flannery O'Connor as well as <i>In the Shadow of the Black Beast: African American Masculinity in the Harlem and Southern Renaissances</i> (LSU Press, 2010). He is editor of<i> Southerners on Film: Essays on Hollywood Portrayals Since the 1970s </i>(McFarland, 2011). <b>Dr. Christopher Rieger</b>, Professor of English, joined the Southeast Missouri State University faculty in 2007. He has been the Director of the Center for Faulkner Studies since 2013. He is the author of<i> Clear-Cutting Eden: Ecology and the Pastoral in Southern Literature, </i> published in 2009 by the University of Alabama Press. He is also the coeditor of the essay collections <i>Faulkner and Chopin</i> (2010), <i>Faulkner and Morrison</i> (2013), <i>Faulkner and Warren </i>(2015) and <i>Faulkner and Hurston</i> (2016).
