<p/><br></br><p><b> Book Synopsis </b></p></br></br>The pages of this volume tell the story of Archimedes, the great mathematician from ancient Greece who made decisive discoveries (such as the law of the lever) and devised ingenious inventions such as the catapult or the «Archimedes screw». The volume includes two illustrated annexes: one which explains Archimedes' principle and the law of the lever and a second one showing the development of the Punic Wars across the Mediterranean.<p/><br></br><p><b> About the Author </b></p></br></br><b>Álvaro Marcos</b> is a trained philologist, translator, and humanist and has worked since 2005 as an independent translator, editor, and writer. As well as his collaborations with Vegueta Ediciones, he is the author of a historical fiction novel and regularly publishes articles and reports on cultural critique in publications such as El Estado Mental. <b>Álex Herrerías</b> graduated in illustration from the National School of Plastic Arts of UNAM. He has illustrated almost twenty titles. He has collaborated with numerous editorials and journals, in addition to participating in animation projects, including First Great Readings, for Project 40.
