She has worked in the fashion advertising field as an illustrator, art director, and photographer. Her original illustrations for the Garfinckel's store, along with the original drawings from Dover Publications' <i>Fashions of the First </i><i>Ladies Coloring Book, </i> are archived at the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of American History. Ming has created dozens of Dover books focused on fashion including the Creative Haven favorites <i>Art Nouveau Fashions, Jazz Age Fashions, Fashions of the 1950s, </i> and <i>Fashions of the 1960s.</i> She has exhibited artwork of natural material collages as well as abstract watercolor works in galleries in New York City and Washington, D.C.
