She studied at the art academy in Groningen and graduated with a degree in spatial and graphic design. Since 2013 she has focused entirely on photography. She has won numerous awards, most recently the Felix Schoeller Photo Award in 2017 in the landscape category. Saskia's work has been shown in Amsterdam, London, Berlin, Moscow, Hong Kong, and New York.
