He specializes in the sociological study of football and is the author of Consuming Football in Late Modern Life (2013). He is currently working with Ellis Cashmore on a book entitled Studying Football.<br/><br/>Tom Gibbons is a Senior Lecturer in Sports Studies at Teesside University, UK. He is the author of English National Identity and Football Fan Culture: Who are ya? (2014) and is currently working on a project with Dominic Malcolm on the relationship between contemporary English national identity and sport.<br/><br/></p>
