About the Book

This book is based on what relationships were
between doctors, HMO's, Hospitals, medical Insurance
companies and drug companies with developmental genetic
research programs. I created this intrigue thriller which
bears many similarities to the current Covid-19 pandemic
today. It is the story of a transplant surgeon who becomes
involved in a twisted plot designed to cheat the system
for money inadvertently causing harm to patients.

Book Synopsis

I wrote this novel in 1995, when medical genetics was starting
to bloom. It was the beginning of gene identifi cation to
discover the causes of many inherited diseases. Prior to that
time, there was no genetic research development to help doctors
choose the appropriate drug to treat a particular disease.
I developed this story about drug manufacturers, genetic
research companies, doctors, and hospitals all vying for the
almighty buck. I became motivated through my observation
of all these entities, watching how they were only interested
in money and not in helping the sick. Through the story, I
brought to bear genetic realities that have since come to the
forefront. The following is an excerpt from the 2016 Scientifi c
American article, 20 Years after Dolly the Sheep Led the
Way--Where Is Cloning Now?

About the Author

Marvin Ginsburg majored in zoology at the University of R.I. and graduated from N.Y.
