The book will show the photographs chronologically from 1934, when Shulman shot Richard Neutra's Sten House on spec, to 1972, when Los Angeles comes into its own as a world metropolis. About 250 images of various aspects of the city life are represented, from residential to commercial, shops, offices, churches, schools, and street life.<p/><br></br><p><b> About the Author </b></p></br></br><b>Julius Shulman</b> is considered to be the most well-known and accomplished architectural photographer of the 20th century. He would have turned 100 in October 2010. <p/><b>Sam Lubell</b> is the west coast editor for <i>The Architect's Newspaper</i> and the author of several books on contemporary architecture. <p/><b>Judy McKee</b> is Julius Shulman's only child and the executor of his estate.
