<p/><br></br><p><b> Book Synopsis </b></p></br></br><p>Mother and daughter, life-long collaborators- </p><p>Once daughter, Susan Wert Vogt, taught her mother, Miriam Taylor Wert, how to use the computer after Miriam's retirement in the mid-1980s, Susan challenged her mother, "Now write a book!" Her mother's first attempt was writing the first half of <em>The Sheepskin </em>in 1998 at age 73. In 2004 Susan had a vision about her mother's book. At age 79, Miriam accepted the challenge and wrote the dialogue in Part 2 to accompany the vision Susan had shared with her. </p><p>A former contributing editor at a newspaper, Susan realized that her mother Miriam had insights on growing older which she encouraged her mother to elaborate on in <em>The Sheepskin </em>as the shepherds aged. </p><ul><li>From the manger to the cross, the shepherds' lives are brought to life in events recorded in the scriptures </li><li>An inspiring tale for all ages from two viewpoints: 1) impetuous, youthful shepherds, and 2) their seasoned counterparts of an older generation </li><li>Compelling facets of faith as the shepherds face their journey together and share their timeless awe and wonder of what they've seen and experienced in their lifetimes </li></ul><p>In her mid-eighties, Miriam was asked, "What do you consider old age?" to which she replied, "You're not old until you reach your nineties!" From her mid-eighties to age 93 she became an email coach for the Billy Graham Evangelistic Assn. Her greatest joy was to be used by God to welcome souls into His kingdom . . . yes, even in her old age!</p>
