He was born near Mosholu Parkway, raised in Hunts Point, and spent his days near the Grand Concourse in the Bronx. Alex pursued his love of art and design at Bronx Community College and immediately started working in the art world. Through his photography and illustration, Alex hopes to show the raw beauty of the Bronx and change the way the Bronx is perceived at home and abroad. His work has been featured in photography books like <i>Streets of New York</i>, and he's in the process of starting a photo walk program for kids in the Bronx. <i>Bronxtones</i> and <i>Bronxshapes</i> are his first books for children.
