Freemark Abbey Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon Red Wine is dark ruby in color and is a rich, opulent Napa Valley wine. This full bodied dry wine includes flavors such as blackberry, boysenberry and Bing cherry with nuances of milk chocolate, chocolate berry truffle dusted with cocoa powder, aromatic cedar and Herbs de Provence. Very full with a soft entry, this Cabernet Sauvignon wine has a great texture, integrated tannins and a pleasant mouth feel. The 2016 vintage of this red wine received 94 points from Wine Enthusiast's Virginie Boone in June 2020 and 92 points from the Robert Park Wine Advocate's Lisa Perotti-Brown in October 2019. The 2017 vintage received 92 points from Vinous' Antonio Galloni in January 2021. Pair this dry red wine with beef tenderloin grilled with Herbs de Provence or braised short ribs. It's aged in oak barrels, resulting in a very well integrated sweet oak spice, adding to the overall complexity. Sourced from select vineyards in Napa Valley, this Cabernet wine features balanced acidity levels due to moderately warm afternoons and early morning fog. Freemark Abbey wines are produced by a winery whose contemporary rise to prominence has, from the 1960s to present, coincided with that of California’s fine wine industry. This bottled wine has a 14.5% ABV.
