The Apollo Theater in New York City opened in 1914 as a burlesque theater catering to only specific people. After many years the theater required renovation was then sold and reopened in 1934 as a music theater catering to the African American population of Harlem following the great Harlem Renaissance of the 1920s and 30s. The dream for many great talents of the time was to perform at The Apollo Theater, hence the title for this beautifully rich in color, ready-to-hang Canvas Art Print, Origin of the Dream.
