Unfortunat6 for me that vist robbed me of much needed beauty sleep....simply could not put the kindle down. Well written as always and thoroughly engrossing. I am not saying too much because I dislike reviews that contain spoilers. I was chatting to a friend today and suggested she read the Two Old Fools series, I actually envy her discovering them for the first time.

5.0 out of 5 stars

You will love Victoria Twead!

Reviewed in the United States on December 4

Verified Purchase

If you have never read a Victoria Twead book, I envy you. Why? Because you can start reading from book one...when Vickie and Joe were in cold and rainy England and Vickie decided she wanted to move to Spain. Joe relented and off they went for 11 years, with a one year break to teach in the Middle East. Eventually they moved to Australia.

Vickie writes just as if she were talking to her. The characters in the Spain books are unforgettable. The stories are always humorous and ring so true.

I want to recommend Joe's book on growing up in South Africa. I cried and cried...

Oh yes, this is supposed to be a review of Down Under. It's great like all her books. You new readers will soon join is in nagging Vickie about when the next one will come out. And I do mean nag.

Do start with Chickens, Mules and Two old fools.

You can thank me later.

Beth Haslam, author of the Fat Dogs and French Estates series

5.0 out of 5 stars

Another Stunning Winner from Victoria Twead!

Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 13

Verified Purchase

Not all authors can maintain a stellar quality of writing throughout a substantial book series. Victoria Twead is one who can.
