When I finally got to read it, I could see why they had enjoyed this book so much, and I'm thrilled that they are so thoroughly enjoying a series of books about other Christian, homeschooled children. This book wove subtle, but powerful Scriptural lessons without sounding the least bit "preachy". From my 8-year-old perspective, he seemed like the biggest horse in the world. From that moment on, I was hooked. Horses were to become a very important part of my life, although I never could have imagined, at the time, how much God would teach me about Himself and my relationship to Him through these wonderful animals. The Sonrise Stable series combines my love of God and horses in stories designed to help the reader learn more about both.
