Crafted around a core of fruit from Clos Du Val's Hirondelle Estate Vineyard in the Stags Leap District, this exceptional 2014 Napa Valley Cabernet includes 93% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3.5% Merlot and 3.5% Cabernet Franc. With an average vine age of 29-30 years old, it offers lovely concentration and complexity. To accentuate these qualities, it was aged in French oak barrels (40% new) for 20 months prior to bottling. The result is a layered and expressive wine with aromas of coffee, blueberry, and toast. The palate is rich and supple, with flavors of plum, boysenberry, and cocoa.
