Austin State University Pineywoods Native Plant Center in Nacogdoches. He previously held positions with the Texas Agricultural Extension Service, Louisiana State University, Lone Star Growers, San Antonio Botanical Garden, and Mercer Arboretum. He is a regular contributor to <i>Texas Gardener</i>, <i>Neil Sperry's Gardens</i>, and <i>Ornamental Outlook m</i>agazines and co-author of <i>The Southern Heirloom Garden</i>.. <p/>Roger Holmes is the founding editor of <i>Fine Gardening</i> magazine.
