Chinese Checkers came from the game of Halma (Greek for jump), a game invented in America around 1884 by a Harvard Medical School thoracic surgeon named Dr. George Howard Monks. This small Chinese Checkers set is solid Malaysian Oak wood with a round board that measures approximately 7 inches in diameter. Comes with brightly colored wooden pegs in six different colors. This mini-version makes a nice travel companion and thoughtful gift.
