The book also charts the significant links between the film industry and Iceland's deep rooted literary tradition, as well as its independent music scene.</p><p/><br></br><p><b> About the Author </b></p></br></br><p>Steve Gravestock is author of <i>Don Owen: Notes on a Filmmaker and His Culture</i> and editor (with Kate Lawrie Van de Ven) of Geoff Pevere's <i>Toronto on Film</i>. He has also written about film for a wide range of publications, including the<i> Toronto Star</i>, the<i> Globe & Mail</i> and <i>CinemaScope</i>. Gravestock is a senior international programmer at the Toronto International Film Festival. He selects Canadian feature films for the Festival and has been programming Nordic features there since 1999.</p>
