This biopic of magnetic, beautiful and troubled Quebecois author Nelly Arcan (Mylène MacKay) details her attempts to deal with her sudden fame and notoriety when her novel PUTAIN, based on her own experiences as a sex worker, was published to critical acclaim in 2001. After earning nominations for two prestigious French book awards, she committed suicide at the age of 34.
