In her early years she was an artist and book illustrator, however her middle years saw her become a New Thought spiritual lecturer and metaphysical writer. In 1925, Scovel Shinn published <i>The Game of Life and How to Play It, </i> a short self-help title that brought quiet inspiration and reassurance to millions.</p> <p><b>Tom Butler-Bowdon</b> is series editor for the Capstone Classics series.
