Henry awards for short stories, she is the namesake of the Shirley Jackson Awards, presented in recognition for outstanding achievement in the literature of psychological suspense.<br>Lorraine Fox (1922-76), a prominent American illustrator of magazines and books, as well as a painter, was honored with a Gold Medal Award from the Society of Illustrators.
