Red Yeast Rice is a 100% whole food product through the fermentation of red yeast (Monascus purpureus) and rice that has been used as a natural food colorant, flavor, and preservative. Through the fermentation process, natural active constituents are created that can help support healthy cardiovascular health. MRM’s Red Yeast Rice is tested for Monacolin K and Citrinin content by a third-party laboratory where the resulting test must be reported as “Not Detected” prior to being manufactured. It also has not been sterilized using irradiation or ETO treatments and contains no animal products, such as meat or eggs, and no animal-derived ingredients or starting raw materials and qualifies as vegan. Finally, our red yeast rice is gluten free and non-GMO.
