His books published in the U.S. include his <i>Collected Plays</i> and the memoir <i>The Man Died: Prison Notes.</i> Soyinka became the first African to be awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1986. He is now Professor in Residence at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, California.</p>
