Alan Alda (M *A *5 *H) plays easy-going Son, who has a lot more gristle and smarts than some folks give him credit for. Patrick McGoohan (Braveheart) plays the revenuer whose simple plan ends up being anything but. Richard Widmark (judgment at Nuremberg) plays "Doc," a snaky dentist-turned-hired killer who comes up with his own duplicitous scheme. And Lee Hazlewood, writer of the #1 hit tune "These Boots Are Made For Walkin'," plays Doc's gleefully malevolent kept criminal.
