Educated at Badminton and Edinburgh University, she graduated in 1959 with honors in English. She is the author of a number of historical books for children, including the DK Readers <i>Flying Ace: The Story of Amelia Earhart, Robin Hood: The Tale of the Great Outlaw Hero</i>, and <i>Joan of Arc</i>.<b>Nick Harris</b> is a former teacher and editor. He has written many books and articles on the arts and history, for both adults and young people.
