<p/><br></br><p><b> About the Book </b></p></br></br>Charley Miles' outstanding debut play <i>Blackthorn</i> explores the changes and choices that pull us from the places and people we love.<p/><br></br><p><b> Book Synopsis </b></p></br></br>The only two children born in a North Yorkshire village for a generation cannot imagine ever being apart, but as their lives shift, so too do the ties that bind them. <p> <i>Blackthorn</i> was a finalist for the prestigious Susan Smith Blackburn prize in 2017 and premiered at the Edinburgh Fringe in August 2018.<p/><br></br><p><b> About the Author </b></p></br></br>Charley Miles is a playwright from North Yorkshire. She is currently the Channel 4 Playwright in Residence at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, where her first play <i>Blackthorn</i> was produced in 2016. In 2005, she won Alan Ayckbourn's Young Playwright award at the Stephen Joseph Theatre, and has been on residency at the North Wall Arts Centre in Oxford.
