Book Synopsis

The Gospel of John has been the starting point for many Bible students. John's presentation of Jesus is both simple and profound. This book is written for anyone who is searching for a deeper understanding of who Jesus is, what Jesus did, and what Jesus is still doing. By working through this book, one will study through the whole Gospel of John. The book can be used in the following ways:1) As a six-week daily devotional. While each lesson is brief, enough Scripture references are included to provide material for in-depth study.2) As a guide for family devotionals. Parents will be able to adapt the chapters to the ages of their children, providing them with a good foundation on the Life of Jesus as presented by the Beloved Disciple.3) For small-group studies. The Scripture references included in the "For Further Reading" sections will encourage discussion and can lead to discovering a larger number of relevant cross-references.4)For Bible classes for teens through adults. Experienced teachers will be able to teach one lesson per chapter, while others might be more comfortable combining a couple of chapters per lesson. Ken Burton was raised in Parkersburg, WV.
