<p/><br></br><p><b> About the Book </b></p></br></br>Rusty aims to present thought-provoking character attributes for children about fundamental, life-long principles that they should be sensitive to and thinking about. The stories leading to the proverbs are real stories from the lives of real children pictured in the book. The people in the book are all the grandchildren of Carol and Larry Tannas, Jr. But they are used only because of the availability of real-life activities with a deep comprehension by the author. Their observations are used to introduce the proverbs presented in a way children's reading or listing can easily relate to. The proverbs presented have deep roots in our western culture and the historical references for most are given to add to their significant, established, universal, life-long values.<p/><br></br><p><b> About the Author </b></p></br></br>Lawrence (Larry) Tannas, Jr. is a retired aerospace engineer, consultant, expert witness and lecturer with international recognition in the field of electronic information displays. He started his own company Tannas Electronic Displays, Inc. in 1999 where Rusty was engaged at international trade shows as depicted in the story. Larry sold this company in 2018 and retired in Orange, California with his wife of over 60 years, Carol. During his career he edited two popular electronic books, published over 100 technical papers, was awarded 40 patents and lectured at UCLA Extension on his Electronic Displays Certificate Program for over 20 years. Mr. Tannas is a graduate of UCLA with a BS in EE and MS in Engineering. He endowed two academic chairs at UCLA, has the Tannas Engineering Alumni Suite in Engineering Bldg. 6 named in his honor and received the UCLA Engineering Lifetime Contribution Award in 2017.
