Absolutely amazing."--The Guardian
Even if you're sick of teenage dystopias, this paranoid mind-wiping novel will thrill you. . . . Excellent. . . . Kyla's erased memory works wonderfully as a storytelling device.--io9
"Terry's debut is a suspenseful page-turner with a highly sympathetic and strong female protagonist. A perverse sense of claustrophobic dread grows throughout the novel. . . . Will have readers waiting eagerly for a sequel."--Booklist
"Terry's world is remarkably like today's. . . . The romance and politics keep suspense ratcheted up. . . . Intriguing--readers will be on tenterhooks for the next one."--Kirkus Reviews

About the Author

Teri Terry has lived in France, Canada, Australia and England at more addresses than she can count, acquiring four degrees, a selection of passports and a silly name along the way.
Moving constantly as a child, teenager and also as an adult has kept Teri on the outside looking in much of her life. It has given her an obsession with characters like Kyla in Slated, who don't belong or find themselves in unfamiliar places.
Teri recently left her job with Buck's libraries in England to write full-time and complete her research MA on the depiction of terrorism in recent young adult dystopian literature.
In the UK Slated won the North East Teenage Book Award, the Leeds Book Award, the Angus book award, the Portsmouth Book Award, the Rotherham book award and the Rib Valley Book Award, and is shortlisted for many others. It was the most voted for YA title in the 2012 international Edinburgh Book Festival Anobii First Book Award. In the US it is a Junior Library Guild selection.
Follow Teri on Twitter @TeriTerryWrites
Website: http: //teriterry.com/
Tumblr: http: //teriterrywrites.tumblr.com, Twitter: https: //twitter.com/TeriTerryWrites,
Facebook page: http: //facebook.com/TeriTerryAuthor
Calendar of events: go to Teri's website is http: //teriterry.com/calendar-of-events/
A group blog for children's writers: Notes From the Slushpile, http: //notesfromtheslushpile.blogspot.com/
