He received a Ph.D. from Cornell University, and master's and undergraduate degrees from Ohio State University. His methods for restoring colonies of puffins and terns now help seabirds worldwide. He also teaches a class in field ornithology for the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and is author of many books on seabirds and gardening for birds. His latest book is the autobiography <i>Project Puffin (2015)</i>.</p><p><b>ELISSA WOLFSON</b> has written for and edited numerous science, environmental, botanical, ornithological, health, and veterinary publications. After graduating from Cornell University, she worked as an environmental educator prior to receiving a master's degree and branching out into science writing. She is former editor of <i>E</i>, <i>The Environmental Magazine</i>, and <i>Cornell Plantations Magazine</i>, current editor of <i>Rationality and Society</i>, and author of <i>101 Cool Games for Cool Cats</i> (2007) and <i>The Audubon Birdhouse Book: Building, Placing, and Maintaining Great Homes for Great Birds</i> (2013).</p>
