I needed some deep emotional healing, love, and acceptance of myself.
Through my story, I hope that I can help someone shorten the distance of their journey or help someone understand the process in the journey to freedom. You can know the freedom I now know without finding yourself shipwrecked and fighting for your life.
If you are in the midst of a dark storm, maybe I can help you find your way back to safety and freedom. If you struggle with addiction, low self-worth, and depression, I hope to be able to pull you from the darkness with the power of truth and build your faith with God encounters that have brought me out of the darkness and into His marvelous light.I know what it is like to wake up and grab a spoon and a lighter to cook up your first shot of heroine for the day. I know what it's like to feel the level of drugs you need in your system to maintain life begin to leave your body and having to start the process all over again.
I have heard the train when injecting shots of cocaine into my system and have had my heart feel like it was going to explode only to do it all over again shortly after. I know what it is like to be up several days on methamphetamine and be so skitzed out I thought everyone was out to get me and the man was watching. Paranoia on levels you can't imagine unless you have been there.
I know what it's like to drop acid and take trips and never leave the farm. I know what it's like to have alcohol as the first drink of the day. I referred to it as breakfast of champions. I know what it's like to pop pills, and at times, not even really sure of what I was taking. Just wash it down with alcohol and hope they get you high. I know what it is like to smoke loads of pot daily like they were cigarettes.
I know what it's like to be so empty inside you increase the size of your shots hoping it might be your last.
I REMEMBER THE FIRST TIME I had no heroin to inject into my veins. I knew at the moment that my body started reacting the way that it did
something much bigger than I could imagine had its grip on me.
This is my journey of how I overcame addiction, low self-worth, rejection, Hepatitis C, Bipolar/Depression through perseverance, faith in God, and lots of prayers. I have been healed, delivered, saved, and set free and now living a victorious life filled with joy and peace!
It's been a journey. It's been a process. It's been worth it all.

About the Author

Tim Anderson was prompted by God to share his story with the world. God carried him from the dark bondage of addiction and showed him how to live a triumphant life. In addition to spreading the good news of healing and deliverance through Christ, Tim enjoys music, off-roading, and hiking. This book would not have been possible without the love and support of his wonderful wife, Nikki, and their family (Kayla, Ashley, and Josiah). They have been a living demonstration of the goodness of God and His faithfulness in Tim's life. Tim serves as a member of the board for his local church. He and his wife live in Tennessee with their three children and a clowder of house cats.
