Wells' classic science fiction novel. This bold adaptation gives us a new protagonist in the form of Ellen Prendick, whose point of view shines a new light upon the horrific events on the cursed island, providing unique insights into one of the world's favorite stories.<p/><br></br><p><b> About the Author </b></p></br></br><b>Ted Adams</b> is the founder of IDW Publishing. He is also the Chairman of Traveling Stories, a San Diego-based non-profit that helps children in underserved communities fall in love with reading. His previous books include stories in <i>Doomed</i>, the graphic novel adaptation of Richard Matheson's <i>The Shrinking Man</i>, and the horror anthology <i>Diablo House.</i> <p/>Born in Santiago, Chile, <b>Gabriel Rodriguez</b> began working as an illustrator in the late 90s and in 2002 started drawing books for IDW Publishing, including <i>CSI, George Romero's Land of the Dead, Clive Barker's The Great and Secret Show</i>, and <i>Beowulf</i>, amongst others. In 2007, he co-created with Joe Hill the award-winning series <i>Locke & Key.</i> He continued developing other creator-owned projects: the Eisner-winning <i>Little Nemo: Return to Slumberland</i>, with Eric Shanower, and the gritty sci-fi adventure <i>Onyx</i>, with Chris Ryall. In 2016, he partnered with Hill once again for a comic adaptation of Hill's teleplays for a new version of <i>Tales from the Darkside</i>, as well as for a new Locke & Key story, Small World. His current project is <i>Sword of Ages</i>, a fantasy adventure series he is creating, writing and drawing. He lives in Santiago with his wife, Catalina, and their kids, Jose Manuel, Matias, and Gabriel.
