Bill Bartmann became the 25th wealthiest man in America at one point. He, too, credits Drucker's advice in helping with his success. This book is an encyclopedia of Drucker's consulting approaches and how and when to apply them. Any consultant will find this book invaluable. However, executives and managers will also gain new insight into Drucker's thinking and methods, and why they continue to have such tremendous influence over today's organizations.

Review Quotes

"Dr. Cohen became my student at the Graduate Management Center of the Claremont Graduate School after he had already achieved signal success in TWO separate careers - as a military officer and a businessman. He soon established himself as both an outstanding student and an outstanding scholar--and, after attaining the PhD degree, soon thereafter as an outstanding and inspiring teacher. He has continued to produce books of true scholarship which, at the same time, have tremendous practical applications. . . In fact Bill Cohen is a true inspiration for all of us in Academe--and, above all, for students who need a true role model, a true exemplar of the very best they could and should aspire to."--Peter F. Drucker, 1996

"I am constantly amazed at how Bill Cohen is able to effectively and elegantly draw on his experience as Drucker's student and then tie it together with his own research. The result is something unexpectedly elegant and highly unique. His newest book, Peter Drucker's Consulting Principles, is immensely useful, enjoyable to read, and genuinely motivating. If if you want to apply Drucker's theories and see how to do them in the real world, this book is definitely the place to start."--Jim Kouzes, co-author of the bestselling The Leadership Challenge and the Dean's Executive Fellow of Leadership, Leavey School of Business, Santa Clara University

"Peter Drucker is gone. Fortunately, his student, Bill Cohen, carries on Drucker's work. Drucker on Consulting is not just good advice for those who are professional consultants. It reveals aspects of Drucker's work that are rarely discussed and not closely analyzed. How was Drucker able to be so successful as a consultant, working alone, in so many different environments? His consulting work included industries and many countries from governments and the military to even individual entrepreneurs and religious organizations. This book has the answers, answers that all managers need and can profit from."--Bill Bartmann, author, Bouncing Back and other books; President and Founder, CFS, CFS2, Inc. and Financial Samaritan.com, assisted 4.5 million debtor clients in rebuilding their lives

About the Author

Dr. William Cohen was the first graduate of the doctoral program that Peter Drucker co-founded.
