In 1998, he was the first person to publish a 17th century document proving that the English invented sparkling Champagne six years before Dom Pérignon set foot in Hautvillers. In 2011 he was inducted into the New York Wine Media Guild's Hall of Fame. He has written 28 books, which have been translated into more than 25 languages. Her vinous career started in hospitality, where she worked as a sommelier in top establishments around the world before moving to luxury wine retail and eventually starting her own consulting company, Liquid Talent. She is a judge and ambassador at the International Wine Challenge, is in charge of tasting quality control at the Champagne and Sparkling Wine World Championships, and is the head of tasting for the wine app Wotwine.
