About the Book

First Century Christians Did What? is a compelling exploration of Christianity that reflects how the author learned to listen to his Heavenly Father's voice. Due to the lack of literacy and education in the Roman Empire, the act of helping others by Christian believers was a fundamental belief and common practice. However, this altruism has become a lost art. The book reminds readers that we can make a difference in each other's lives by hearing and obeying simple commands given by the Holy Spirit.

Book Synopsis

This book was masterfully written to change people's lives and their relationship with God. Throughout the book, the author lays out some simple principles regarding how God can lead you to people - telling you what to say or do in simple one to two-sentence commands. When delivered at the right moment, these can be life-changing. Your adventure will be unique and exciting. Listen to what God has to say when he wants you to reach out and help someone. When that happens, it's exciting to see the results.
Many examples from the author's life show how this journey played out in the real world. You will see the Christian life through the author's eyes as he learns to hear God's voice and then interact with humanity. The Lord will lead him to deal with people of other cultures, races, languages, and religions without training or study. Just follow the Lord's leading and saying what he tells you to say or do. Are you ready for a lifetime of adventure? Jesus said, My sheep hear my voice and I know them, and they follow me. John 10:27 (ESV)

About the Author

Raised on a small 30-acre farm in rural Wisconsin, Bob has led a very event-filled life with his wife of 46 years, their seven children, and eight grandchildren. These adventures include: marching on Lambeau Field with the UW Green Bay marching band, teaching in schools both in the USA and China, working in church ministry, running a business, and working for the Walt Disney Company; leading to his greatest adventure -- working for 12 years in China as a school administrator and teacher.
Bob and his wife, Patty, now retired teachers, live in Palm Bay, Florida, and fill their days crisscrossing the country as part time truck drivers and when home, working in his garden and writing. This book is Bob's first book, and as such, chronicles some of these adventures.
