It is the story of an immigrant man who came to America with nothing, became a Marine, then a police officer, only to end up in prison. It is about making mistakes, surviving, resilience and redemption.<p/><br></br><p><b> About the Author </b></p></br></br>Pablo Agrio is a former Marine and police officer who spent time in prison for murder. During his incarceration he obtained a law degree. In April 2000 his essay Living Like Animals in a Cage was published by the San Francisco Chronicle and Boot Camp: My Signature Strength Story received 2nd place in the fall 2016 edition of the Veterans' Voices contest. Most recently his essay Thoughts on Self-Forgiveness was published online by ENDPAIN. He is a member of the UCLA Wordcommandos Creative Writing Workshop for Veterans.
