Additionally the Leader Guide includes a redeemable code that gives you access to teaching items, handouts, Powerpoints, posters, and other promotional helps.
The Book of Psalms is a compilation of songs that focus on humanity's interaction with God. Within these interactions, we discover God's character as the songwriter speaks of God as a Shepherd, a King, a Redeemer, a Creator, Just, Holy, and more. These songs give us deeper insight into God and how we are to relate to Him as His creation. We find that He loves us and offers the opportunity to be His people and that doing so comes with the expectation of living in light of that relationship.
The focus of this January Bible study is on the character of God as revealed in selected Psalms. As we get a glimpse of God's character, we'll begin to understand our need for forgiveness and what it means to live as God's people, demonstrating His character in a fallen world.
Note: Hymnals are sometimes organized by themes, authors, and usage. In the Book of Psalms we find some of Psalms organized and grouped in the same manner. The focus of this study is to look at Psalms that are grouped together either by position in the book or coming from the same experience.

Features:

Leader helps, sermon ideas, and promotional materials

Seven sessions

Benefits:

Use in a small group setting or combine chapters for use in a seminar setting.

Customize the teaching plans and integrate select expository notes into your teaching notes.

About the Author

Kon Yang is a professor of Old Testament studies, Hebrew, and Spiritual Formation at Gateway Seminary at the Los Angeles campus where his wife Patricia serves as Gateway's digital services librarian.
