She decided to join the CNRS (Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique) in France, where she worked for many years as a librarian. As passionate about books as she is about cooking, she now lives with her family in Normandy, in a secret place where there are "books, friends, and flowers" and where she has concocted these recipes from the world cultures of the imaginary. She previously published two books with Skyhorse: <i>The Wizard's Cookbook<b></b></i>(2017) and <i>The Wizard's Dessert Cookbook</i> (2019). <p/><b>Grace McQuillan</b> has translated the works of Andreï Makine, Stéphane Allix, and has received a French Voices Award for her translation of <i>Le Crieur de Nuit</i> by Nelly Alard. Her work has also appeared in <i>The Brooklyn Rail</i> and PBS <i>NewsHour</i>. Originally from New Jersey, she now lives in Nevis.
