During this period, Jerry was diagnosed with prostate cancer, and later with B-cell non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. He is currently in stage three of the disease as a ten-year survivor, but has undergone repeated hospitalizations, surgeries, radiation, seeding, chemotherapy, cognitive therapy, physical rehabilitation, and pharmacological therapy for pain. <p/> Jerry is a certified spiritual healer and a Recovery Support Specialist providing Peer Support for people who are experiencing the challenges he has met.
