Designed to complement current recycling efforts, the Hefty® EnergyBag® program provides a simple, convenient solution to collect hard-to-recycle plastics right at your curbside and convert them into valued resources. These hard-to-recycle plastics include common items like plastic utensils, candy wrappers, pet food bags, and foam takeout containers.<br /><br />Simply start collecting accepted hard-to-recycle plastics in the official Hefty(R) EnergyBag® orange bag. When the bag is full, tie it closed and place in your curbside recycling bin/cart with normal recyclables. Your regular recycling truck will pick up and deliver the bags to your local recycling facility (MRF). The recycling center then separates these bags from other materials and sends them on to facilities that use the hard-to-recycle plastics as an energy resource — or break them down to create new and useful products.<br />
