In 2006, Rogene retired from her company and has become a full-time artist. She studied painting, drawing, sculpture and jewelry making at the University of Oregon and through the years has taught art in a variety of settings, including Artist in Residence programs, schools and art centers, as well as giving private lessons in her own studio.
