The watch is known at the Henry Graves Supercomplication. It's worth over 24 million dollars. Jack is hired by Harold Chumley to recover the watch and is offered a tidy finder's fee. Harold Chumley, however, is not who he appears to be. The Algamated Insurance company also hires Jack directly through insurance executive George Flax and Jack is offered a $100,000 finder's fee. Once it's clear who Jack is working for, he works non-stop to retrieve the watch. This has him come into contact with Tony two shoes Gumbati, a known mobster and a dangerous man. Along the way there are many other colorful characters looking for the watch and looking for Jack as well. Through it all, he and his trusted assistant Trudy work the case from New York to Boston and then back again. There are shootings, stabbings, car chases and plenty of culinary diversions along the way. In the end, Jack will bring a thief, a murderer, and a mobster to justice.

About the Author

Charlie Girard is a successful jigsaw puzzle artist. He is a native New Englander and enjoys the rocky coast of Maine. This is his second novel and many of the characters that he writes about are actually people he has known over the years and now have become characters in their own right. His first novel put Jack Trane on the map. Hopefully this one will take Jack to new heights.
