In 1986 she published a chronicle of her family's history along with the story of the black middle class in America. Shes is the author of <i>American Patriots</i> and <i>The Black Calhouns</i>. <p/>Charles Frank Bolden, Jr. was the 12th Administrator of NASA, a retired United States Marine Corps Major General, and former NASA astronaut. He was the first African American to head the agency on a permanent basis. Bolden is also the virtual host of the Shuttle Launch Experience attraction at Kennedy Space Center. <p/>
