In 2011 she was the U.K.'s first recipient of a Sendak Fellowship and spent a month in residence working with the great Maurice Sendak at his home in Connecticut, USA. She worked on <i>The Journey Home</i> during her stay. It was her first picture book, first published in the U.K. in 2012. Since then, she has become a star in the picture book world.
