Her first book is <em>Intimate Encounters: Filipina Women and the Remaking of Rural Japan</em> (2009), and she has published in <em>American Ethnologist</em>, <em>Cultural Anthropology</em>, <em>Annual Review of Anthropology</em>, <em>Transactions of the Institute of British Geographers</em>, and <em>Environment and Planning A</em>.</p>
