His topics include movies, football, baseball, wars, rock music, simply random trivia facts and US States. His volumes of American trivia visited NEW YORK, TEXAS, CALIFORNIA, FLORIDA, ALASKA, OHIO, NORTH CAROLINA, MICHIGAN, PENNSYLVANIA, and HAWAII, and now he steps foot outside the US and offers us a fun assortment of fun facts and history, first of IRELAND, and now, MEXICO.

Our southern neighbor is daily in the media coverage, especially as it endures the controversial Border Wall that Trump demands, but the influence of Mexico is an integral part of the US - especially in California, Arizona New Mexico, Texas and more. Or as Bill states, 'You probably know that Mexico touches America's southern border and that the people there speak Spanish. You probably also know that many of its costal cities are popular tourist destinations, while dangerous cartels are common in the interior...It is also an economic and cultural center for Latin America...'

This new book teaches us about the history of Mexico - both ancient (the famous pyramids, Aztec and Mayan cultures, etc) and after the arrival of the Spanish - the geography, topography and climate, the sports, pop culture (home of famous people like Anthony Quinn, Salma Hayek, etc), the famous telenovelas, mariachi music, soccer, and the 'must see' places when visiting Mexico. After each section Bill offers trivia questions, just to make sure we are absorbing all the important information - and fun.

Not only is the book entertaining - it is also very instructive for every reader. Actually, in these times of discussing immigration and the importance of the Latino population (and language, and foods!) in this country, this book should become Required Reading! Have fun, learn, and be ready for the next gathering of very smart friends! You'll be on top. Grady Harp, February 20

----

Throughly enjoyed this book on Mexico.. Filled with interesting facts, random thoughts and some stories that were impressive.

I thought the story about the Eagle and the Cactus was amazing. It dates back to the year 1325 and illustrates the Aztec civilization.

The 'rubber people' were covered as well as the Aztecs, the Olmecs and the Mayans. All interesting to read about.

Trivia questions are also included...Despite a small problem with the formatting on the left side of some pages, this does not interfere too much with the text.

All in all, educational and informative..

Most highly recommended.
