Book Synopsis

Sani is terrified of animals-dogs, cats, cows. But her mother has just brought home an orange-white furball.
What is Sani to do?
Kitten Trouble is a part of the Hook Books series. These books are for very young readers, aged five and above. The books work well for reading out loud to kids or for young readers just starting to read by themselves. Written by some of the best-known writers for children, and illustrated in exuberant colour by some of India's most-loved illustrators, these stories are set largely in non-urban settings. Hawaldar Hook is the endearing mascot of the Hook Books. Each book includes short and fun language exercises at the end.

About the Author

Bijal Vachharajani (Author)
When Bijal Vachharajani is not reading Harry Potter, she dreams up picture books as Editor Scissorhands at Pratham Books. Bijal is the author of four children's books including A Cloud Called Bhura and So You Want to Know About the Environment. She has edited a magazine, rescued parakeets, tigers and elephants, and is part of the Abhiyan Library movement. Bijal has a Masters in Environment Security and Peace from the University of Peace in Costa Rica and is a certified climate worrier.
Rajiv Eipe (Illustrator)
Rajiv Eipe lives in Bangalore and works on animation and illustration projects. He likes to doodle in his sketchbook, drink more coffee than is good for him, maintain an untidy workspace and gaze into
vacant space at short intervals. Rajiv won the Big Little Book Award in 2020 for his contribution to Indian children's literature.
