It presents the entire text of the <i>Guhyagarbha Tantra, </i> in Tibetan and English, together with one of its most important commentaries, <i>Dispelling the Darkness of the Ten Directions, </i> by the outstanding fourteenth-century master Longchen Rabjam. A disciple of the first Dodrupchen Rinpoche, he founded the monastery of Dzokchen Namgyal Ling and was instrumental in establishing the community of lay tantric practitioners known as the Repkong Ngak-mang. <p/>GYURME DORJE holds a master's degree in Sanskrit and a PhD in Tibetan literature from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London. He has written, edited, translated, and contributed to numerous books on Tibetan culture, among them <i>The Nyingma School of Tibetan Buddhism</i> and <i>The Tibetan Book of the Dead: First Complete Translation.</i> He is based in Crieff, Scotland.
