The Vortex Viper HD 10x42mm Roof Prism Binocular is ideal for people who need a powerful set of binoculars that can also stand up to punishment. The Viper HDs feature phase corrected prisms which are treated with reflective multi-coatings to increase resolution and contrast. The glass elements are also multi-coated to increase light transmission through the lenses. Additionally, Votex designed the Viper HDs with rubber armor and scratch resistant lenses so it can stand up to use in any environment. Multi-Coated Prisms and Optics The image quality a pair of binoculars provides depends largely on the amount of light that's transmitted though the lenses and reflected through the internal prisms. In the Viper HDs, both of these optical elements are treated with multi-coatings that increase light transmission and reflection. The result is an exceptionally bright image with excellent contrast and color reproduction. Rugged All-Terrain Construction Because the internal optical systems of binoculars are delicate, Vortex has created a durable housing to protect the lenses from harm.
