He has been commissioned to create art for clients such as Shag, Elvira, and Pixar director Lee Unkrich. His work was collected in the monograph <i>Wildsville: The Art of Derek Yaniger</i>. He lives in Atlanta and is a self-proclaimed "retro daddy".</p><p><b>Foreword by Charles Phoenix</b> <br> Charles is a performer, humorist, chef, pop culture expert, and author. In his live shows, media appearances, and books, which include <i>Addicted to Americana </i>and <i>Southern Californialand</i>, he explores America's classic and kitschy pop cultural past and present. He has appeared on TV with Conan O'Brien and Martha Stewart and is often heard on NPR.
